The facilities were pretty much what we expected. The cottage we stayed in was comfortable and well maintained and hot tub was cleaned daily. The grounds were also well maintained but the staircase leading to the beach need some work as it feels a little unsteady. The view is great and you can usually see some seals at some point during the day (just their heads though). There are many activities to pass the time in the late afternoon when you return from a day trip but I wouldn't necessarily plan on spending full days on site since the beach isn't really suitable for hanging out. The owner, Lonnie, is really great. She does everything she can to make your stay comfortable. They do your laundry for $10 per load and you petit back dried and folded. She looked after our dog a couple of times when we went to a beach or trail that didn't allow dogs. She keeps lots of yard and board games on hand and lends them out without hassle. Lonnie and her staff were a big reason we had a very pleasant stay. One disappoint aspect was that we were unable to get any fresh lobster. We came in late August and didn't realize that the lobster fisheries are shut down in mid July. No fault of the Sea Parrot, of course, but just something to keep in mind if you plan on enjoying fresh lobster.
This place is fantastic and Mrs.Lonnie is the best We stayed here for the first time in 2023 and we absolutely loved it! Beautiful cottage with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and a living room, ocean view, barbecue, swings for the kids and laundry service as well! We definitely wanted to come back, unfortunately a bad accident happened to our dog on our way, in PEI, i informed Mrs Lonnie that we will not be able yo come only one day prior the booking date! Yet she made her best to quickly find a replacement and refunded us everything! She is a person with a big heart and someone who deeply loves animals Her Sea Parrot Ocean View Manor is amazing and I highly recommend it!
July8-10/25 We really enjoyed our stay. Our apartment was beyond expectations and it was clean and comfy. The location is breathtaking! Right on the ocean. It enhanced our stay on the Cabot Trail because we looked forward to get back there after our excursions. So relaxing sitting by the water. Lonnie was a sweetheart! I would recommend! Hoping we will be able to return if we get a chance! It was the highlight of our vacation for sure! Thanks for having us! Mark and Lori
Had an awesome time here. Highlights are the sunrise and sunsets, and the occasional sighting of a seal along the shoreline. We were a little disappointed with the beachfront, but that is NOT the owners fault. The postcards and photos on the website show the cottages right on the beach, but due to past storms, the shoreline has changed quite drastically. Now, you have to climb down a steep walkway to get to the beach. Not ideal for kids or folks with mobility issues. Aside from that, the property is stunning and the cottages are quirky and unique, but quiet and safe.
The resort is a great location to see beautiful sunsets beside the ocean. The owner is friendly and helpful in guiding us to take a safer and faster route to the resort. And we love the jacuzzi bathtub. We would like to stay there next time we visit Cape Breton.
This place was a wonderful comfortable place to stay on the ocean . Lonnie was the kindest person and went out of her way to make us feel at home and welcome ! Staying here we were able to drive around cape breton park as well as down to louisberg . There was a place to eat up the road away as well as shops to look at and enjoy . Our room was comfortable with a great view on the ocean . It was perfect to come back to after a day of sightseeing and just relax !!
Visiting Cape Breton we checked out the various locations and chose to stay at the Sea Parrot resort. So glad that we did, the property was fully booked and the wonderful owners showed us around. Our loft unit was very comfortable and perfect. Woke up to an amazing sunrise and beautiful views.
We had an amazing stay at Sea Parrot and the host was very sweet. We booked the Mini Tropical Cabin right by the ocean which is super cute and has an awesome view. Cape Breton in fall is breathtaking, we’ll definitely be back.
